Rating: - good stroller for moms on the run
This is my third stroller. I have a big travel system stroller with the infant car seat attached and just find it to be too bulky in the trunk and too heavy to use all the time. I also have the very expensive maclaren which I love but I would not take it to any major amusement parks and leave it outside of a ride.So I purchased this stroller for just that reason. It is very light and easier to use then the travel system and I don't have to worry about it when I take my other childern to the amusement parks . For the price it is a really good deal.
Rating: - Better than an umbrella stroller
I love this stroller. My husband and I were looking for a lightweight stroller to take to Disney World. We are both tall so an umbrella stroller was out of the question. We also have 3 children so we were looking for something inexpensive. We bought this stroller at the local toys r' us (using one of their coupons). It was perfect for our trip. It is very lightweight, easy to fold and unfold, and narrow so it fits into small places. We used it in the airport, shuttle, and all major theme parks in Orlando. Our son is 2 and it was great for running him around Disney and the back lays down for those unexpected naps. We have owned 5 strollers in the past 8 years and this is the best for taking on trips and to the amusement parks. We also bought an additional drink holder for us to use and a cargo bag for additional storage. The attached tray worked great for our son for little snacks on the go. We also liked that the tray can be moved to the side and not completely removed so you never misplace it. You do need two hands to fold up the stroller but that was a minor issue for us. We like the tall adjustable handle bar. The basket fits a medium size diaper bag. Because it is narrow, you can stroll through those crowded souvenior stores with little problem. Once folded, it fit on the tran from the Disney parking lot to the front gates without taking up a lot of space. It also does not take up a lot of room in the trunk. Great stroller for the price.
Rating: - Great Stroller! (lightweight, but very sturdy with extras)
I think this stroller is actually better than a lot of more expensive brands like Maclaren or Inglesina (which are totally overpriced, have too small weels, do often not recline, are bulkier and have no tray or bar to make baby feel more secure). I had been looking for a very lightweigt but sturdy stroller for a long time (had several others) and tried out many strollers in different stores by putting my son into them and wheeling him around in it. Despite being very lightweight and easy to fold (2-handed), the Baby Trend Passport stroller is very sturdy even on uneven surfaces and is very easy to navigate with my son in it (who is tall and constantly leaning over and moving around). I love that the passport stroller folds very flat (fits easily behind a seat in the car when the trunk is full), much smaller than many other leightweigt strollers, and I can easily pick it up with one hand. The adjustable handle is convenient and with the (removable) tray I feel that my son has something to hold on to. This stroller also reclines almost all the way, which I find necessary in case baby is sleepy. I had this stroller since my son was 6 months old and wish I had found it earlier. I traveled to Germany with this stroller and it held up extremely well wherever I went there (crowded airports, museums, on cobblestone). Strollers like Combi Savvy, Graco Kite Rider, and Graco City Sport Ultra Lightweight seemed very rickety to me when I put my son into it and did not feel sturdy at all (with the weight of my son they were actually hard to push around and rattled). The only things I wish the Passport stroller had in addition are a see-through window in the removable canopy (which I remove most of the time anyway) and an adjustable foot rest like most European strollers have (which hardly any lightweight stroller has). I have a Baby Trend Navigator stroller with air tires in addition to the Baby Trend Passport stroller, which I use on trails and at the beach and which I would rather use for a newborn instead of the Passport stroller. Overall, the Baby Trend Passport stroller is a wonderful alternative stroller to an umbrella stroller with extras (tray, adjustable handle, reclines, sturdy) usually found in bigger strollers.
